Job Description
The Nursing Home Administrator is responsible for creating an environment where staff are highly engaged and focused on providing the highest level of care and compassion to residents, and families.
Duties and responsibilities
- Ensures Regulatory and Policy Compliance
- Leads and is accountable for operations and departments of the Center, including employee engagement
- Works in close collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and department heads
- Directing team members to meet quality standards,
- Meet or exceed targeted financial measures
- Maintain positive relationships and exceptional service to residents, resident family members, team members, guests, community organizations and government agencies.
- Leads and motivates directors and team members by teaching and supporting their growth and development within the community. Provides leadership and coaching to proactively solve problems and resolve issues. Will also led director and team member meetings, trainings, and orientations.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge executing strategy and goals to increase both residential living and health center census are highly preferred.
- Develop annual operating budgets and maintain accountability to CFO for any negative budget variances.
- Participates in the promotion of the community for achieving budgeted occupancy and revenue goals.
Comply with applicable federal, state regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in business, health care, gerontology
- Licensed Nursng Home Administrator (LNHA) according to state regulations
Must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of five years progressive leadership experience in a senior management, general manager or director level position with P&L and responsibility, budget authority and supervised multiple department teams.
- Minimum of five years of experience in senior living, healthcare, long term care
- Strong background in operational and fiscal management by executing strategies and goals that will increase overall business performance, census, and positive business outcomes.
- Excellent people skills and demonstrated success communicating verbally and in writing, with strong presentation skills for audiences at all levels in both small and large groups.
- Must pass required background investigation to confirm eligibility to work with dependent adults.
- Computer knowledge and skills, including Microsoft Office products that include high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
