Position Summary:
The Executive Director - Outpatient is responsible for the overall campus operations of the assigned Western Region MOC programs. Will participate in the implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the organization. In conjunction with and under the direct supervision of the VP of Outpatient or designee, the Executive Director will give direction and leadership toward the achievement of the organization’s philosophy and mission.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for application and implementation of the established policies and procedures in the operation of the MOC facilities assigned ensuring conformance with and adherence to all corporate compliance requirements.
- Coordinates delivery of a high-quality treatment program that is in compliance with licensing and accreditation requirements and reimbursement standards.
- Develops procedures and create a working environment that promotes mutual respect, effective communications, and adequate information flow.
- Evaluates the efficiency, productivity, and results of overall operations of the facility on a routine basis and report’s findings to the CEO
- Directs Performance Improvement activities within the facility, providing reports as requested by the CEO, identifying important aspects of care, supervising collection and organization of data and developing performance improvement plans as necessary.
- Provide clinical staff with feedback pertaining to patient care needs, regulatory agency requirements and third-party payer requirements.
- Acts as advisor and consultant in unusual and / or difficult cases when requested
- Achieves satisfactory budget oversight and monitoring
- Complete special projects as assigned by the CEO in a timely manner.
- Conducts regular surveys of the facility to ensure that all physical environment standards are being met.
- Completes performance reviews for direct line staff
- Ability to make good decisions within assigned scope of authority.
- Ability to effectively supervise staff.
- Ability to control expenses
- Ability to support and effectively collaborate with other departments to achieve results
- Ability to plan ahead, and to prioritize and coordinate activities, services, schedules or programs.
- Ability to plan, assess, communicate, and develop employee performance.
Education, Skills, & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school required. Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
- Psychologist or PHD preferred
- Minimum of five years’ experience in management / administration, preferably at an Executive Director level or up, at a healthcare facility, preferably in a behavioral health environment.
- Occasional/limited exposure to: Infection and to the risk of blood-borne diseases; hazardous agents, body fluids and wastes; unpleasant patient or departmental elements; to potentially violent/aggressive patients/staff/visitors, critical incidents, and/or sentinel events.
- Occasionally needed to work irregular hours or additional hours.
