Executive Director

Job Description: Executive Director, Laundry and More, Inc.

The Executive Director is a key management leader of Laundry and More, Inc. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration of Laundry and More. The Executive Director duties also include fundraising, marketing and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Top Priorities for 2023-2024

1. Organization Operations: Oversees and implements resources to ensure that the operations of the organization are sufficient to keep running smoothly.

A.Community/Client Relations: Works with Friends and Neighbors (clients) to identify needs in the community in addition to laundry service. Also seeks referrals to help remedy these identified needs.

· Oversees the gathering of intake demographics for all new clients and subsequent follow-up interviews to provide data for subsequent statistical analysis.

· Contacts other community partners and agencies as needed for referrals.

· Completes tracking and record keeping of which partners we refer people to.

B*. Organization Operations:*

· Responsible for effective administration of Laundry and More’s operation

· Responsible for signing all notes, agreements, and other instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the organization per Board approval.

· Offers training and orientation so everyone understands their roles, responsibilities and expectations at the laundry.

C. Laundry Service

· Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff

· Oversee the Tuesday morning laundry service program.

· Be available for requests from other agencies to for laundry service.

· Work with volunteers and support their needs.

2.Community Visibility: Work closely with other nonprofit, professional, civic and private organizations.

· Assists with social media posting, website maintenance and other communications with community partners and other organizations.

· Enhances Laundry and More’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working closely with other professional, civic and private organizations.

· Attends community partner meetings as needed.

3. Fundraising: Presents Laundry and More story at churches, civic organizations and other events.

· Goal to have at least one major fundraiser per year

· Present the Laundry & More story to area churches, professional, civic and private organizations

· Participate in events that allow L & M to set up an exhibit to tell the L & M story.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
