Salary: $90,000 yearly. Salary is commensurate with experience and education

Job Summary
Working as an Executive Chef, you are responsible for leading all aspects of all culinary functions for the dining accounts at Stony Brook University on Long Island, New York. You will manage and lead a team of associates and supervise all safety and sanitation as it pertains to the account at SBU. Additionally, as part of the culinary team, you will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities:

• Plans and crafts all menus and recipes
• Purchases and leads inventory. cost controls, and ordering expenditures for the account
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with marketing and culinary team
• Ensures the BOH operations complies with food safety standards, policies, and practices
• Work hours may include nights and weekends. The ideal candidate should be flexible to work various hours as the business decides

Preferred Qualifications:

• Culinary degree preferred
• Three to five years of culinary management experience
• High-volume production and catering experience is crucial for success in this role
• Previous experience leading cost controls, inventory, and ordering is required
• Desire to learn and grow with an outstanding food service company
• Previous experience and comfortability with planning presentation plans
