Provides administrative professional support to the Vice President of Privacy and Compliance (VP). Work performed requires a variety of clerical and organizational skills and an extensive working knowledge of the UF Health system, the executive offices and the departments reporting to the VP. Exercises independent judgment and discretion in communicating with UF Health executives, including the Health Science Center, physicians and personnel. Exercises independent judgment and problem-solving techniques in managing tasks, including planning, initiating and implementing administrative activities as assigned. Maintains a close working relationship with UF Health administrators, physicians and the hospital directors. Manages confidential and sensitive issues across varied lines of interaction (i.e., UF Health, community hospitals, government agencies, employees and patients). Work is performed under minimum supervision and is carried to completion, independently providing current status or outcome of each project to VP.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Ten years of progressively responsible advanced secretarial and administrative experience with independent project task management.
- Advanced document and contract preparation skills required.
- Experience must include independent use of personal computer applications, including word processing, databases and spreadsheets.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills are required.
- Associates degree can be substituted for experience.
- Technical training or additional experience is required to substantiate required database management skills.
- Must be able to type 55 CWPM.
Motor Vehicle Operator Designation:
- Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a "non-frequent driver."
NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or University of Florida Health automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
