Working Relationships and Qualifications
This position reports to the Governor's Advisor. This position has no supervisory responsibility.
The Executive Assistant provides direct scheduling and administrative support and completes special projects as assigned.The Assistant is considered essential administrative and operational support and will be trusted with confidential information and otherwise sensitive information pertaining to the Governor's Office priorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
Scheduling and meeting support
Special projects
Manage scheduling, appointments and calendars for the Governor's Advisor
Help the Advisor prepare for meetings, including research
Coordinate on key working relationships of the Advisor and manage meeting requests on behalf of the Advisor
Develop meeting agendas and minutes in collaboration with project stakeholders
Lead and complete research assignments as directed by the Governor's Advisor
Support project management activities and communications
Write memos, newsletters, reports, and other documents as needed
Coordinate with and serve as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders across state agencies and external stakeholders across private and public sectors
Contribute to strategy and planning work, meetings, and other activities such as process improvement and other opportunities indicated by the Advisor
Lead additional projects at the direction of the Advisor and the incumbent's interests
Core competencies for the position include:
Minimum education and experience requirements: 2 years related work experience.
Working experience with Google Suite
Worked Experience with Microsoft word documents, spreadsheets and slide presentations;
Excellent written and interpersonal skills;
Strong work ethic and organizational skills; and
Team player, proactive and takes initiative, attention to detail, passion for a fast paced and fun work environment.
