Children's Home Society, in Sioux Falls, SD is currently seeking a Full Time Executive Assistant to provide executive support to the Chief Operating Officer.
What You'll Do:
- Manage a variety of administration tasks in support of the COO.
- Manage extremely active and complex schedules.
- Complete expense reports.
- Compose and prepare correspondence that is sometimes confidential.
- Arrange detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas.
- Communicate directly, and on behalf of the COO, with employees and provide a bridge for smooth communication between the COO's office and internal departments.
- Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the COO including those of sensitive or confidential nature. Determine an appropriate course of action, referral, or response.
- Provide leadership to build and strengthen relationships crucial to the success of the organization and manage a variety of special projects for the COO.
- Work closely and effectively with the COO to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities.
- Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgment letters, personal correspondence, and speeches. Create presentation materials and monitor and create posts for social media platforms.
- Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion with deadline pressures.
- Record, maintain and distribute accurate minutes of committee meetings and create agendas in conjunction with the COO.

Compensation: $50,000+, depending on experience and education.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in communications, English, or business required. Master's degree valued.
Ten years previous experience in supporting high level executives.
Expert in office technology including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe as well as all online meeting platforms including Zoom and Teams
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Normal office environment. Extended periods of PC viewing and keyboarding required. Extended periods of sedentary work required. Some travel required. Lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally.
