Executive Assistant
Reports to:Executive Vice President
The outline of the position duties and responsibilities and the compensation are outlined below.
Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President of River City Construction Inc. (RCC) based in Washington, NC. Must be able to proficiently organize the schedule and calendar of the Executive Vice President, diligently take notes throughout the day, manage information regarding personnel and complete a variety of tasks assigned by the Executive Vice President. Must have the ability to independently solve problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars
- Answer phone calls, emails, and take messages.
- Take accurate and comprehensive notes at meetings and throughout the day.
- Assist with daily time management.
- Complete personal tasks as requested.
- Plans travel, including flights, accommodations, and ground transportation.
- Coordinate events and speaking engagements.
- Draft correspondence such as emails and letters, and other company documents.
- Communicate with staff, to relay messages and directives. Follows up with any staff to make sure staff completes work in a timely manner.
- Maintain the confidentiality of information.
- Fulfill other duties as needed for the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years’ experience in a proven clerical / administrative / secretarial position.
- Valid Driver’s License and MVR (Motor Vehicle Records) approved by company auto insurance.
- Experience / knowledge of electric utility industry is beneficial, but not required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Technically proficient with MS (Microsoft) office suite, Windows, Outlook, and Mac / Apple OS.
- Ability to quickly learn how to use new software and hardware.
- Active listener with the ability to comprehend conversations, and take notes simultaneously.
- Personable and effective communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong time management and impeccable organizational skills.
Schedule:
- Full time position.
- Monday to Friday.
Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred).
