Events Manager – Knoxville Taproom

Yee-Haw Brewing Company is hiring an Events Manager for our Knoxville Taproom . As a key member of the taproom team, the Events Managerreports to the General Manager of the Knoxville property and assumes the strategic role in building and developing on-property events. Partnering with the GM and the taproom staff, the Events Manager will oversee all matters relating to events and promotional opportunities at Yee-Haw Brewing Knoxville.

The focus of the Events Manager is to bring paid events to the Knoxville campus to grow revenue by consistently maximizing all rentable spaces. The Events Manger fields inquiries about private events as well as helps lead the taproom’s own events such as concerts, Pint Nights and other programming that makes the property a destination and fun place to be. This person must thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy managing multiple projects at one time.

Founded in 2015, Yee-Haw Brewing Company began brewing craft beer in a historic railroad depot built in the late 1800’s in Johnson City, Tennessee. Yee-Haw Brewing Company quickly grew from a startup to one of the Southeast’s fastest growing craft breweries. Yee-Haw’s reputation for high quality ales and lagers is built on our commitment to using only the finest ingredients. Our taprooms provide a welcoming gathering place in our communities, and in 2023 Yee-Haw expanded its footprint with Knoxville opening in January 2023. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Private and Non-Private Event Sales

· Act as the primary point of contact for all Knoxville property events.

· Receive all event inquiries via Perfect Venue, email, phone call or drop-in.

· Respond to all inquiries within 36 hours with thoughtful, customized responses.

· Address client questions, schedule property tours (as needed), and develop custom proposals to secure events.

· Support requests for drop-ins and happy hours

· Effectively manage event inquiry pipeline and property event calendar.

· Build relationships with local businesses and individuals in the Knoxville community to actively seek out new business opportunities.

Event Planning & Execution

· Ensure proposals are signed and deposits are received on time.

· Lead all client meetings, property walk-throughs, and tastings as needed to finalize Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) using our event scheduling software.

· Coordinate with the taproom leadership to ensure all aspects of each event, including catering, bartending, decorations, and entertainment are successfully planned, communicated, and executed.

· Work with Yee-Haw’s chef to ensure proper catering event services.

· Assume professional responsibility as primary on-site point of contact during planning and ensure smooth and detailed transition to taproom staff for event execution.

· Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance policies are in place for each event.

· Maintain accurate records and notes of all event details including activations, menus, and vendor contracts.

· Follow up with clients after events to ensure that their expectations were met and to solicit feedback for future events.

Entertainment Event Management

· Collaborate with GM to build property activation schedule including concerts and other appealing events (both ticketed and free to attend)

· Ensure all necessary documents (including but not limited to permits, licenses, production agreements, contracts, vendor invoices, tax forms, etc.) are delivered, received, and properly filed in a timely manner.

· Coordinate with GM, taproom leadership, Social Media Coordinator, talent bookers, audio engineers, and security personnel to properly plan, promote, and execute all entertainment events.

· Coordinate with entertainment acts for day-of needs, such as food and beverage ensuring proper accounting of such items.

· Plan ahead to ensure timely compensation for talent, production staff, and buyers/bookers.

Partnerships and Charities

· Function as taproom liaison for Yee-Haw Corporate Partnerships that are onsite for various events that may not have rental fees.

· Develop and implement a schedule for charitable events, such as fundraising pint nights, that raise awareness and donations for local non-profit organizations.

Graphic Design

· Regularly design, curate, and distribute a concert and events calendar, both for in-house promotion and for local promotional outlets.

· Design signage to support events.

· Design and print all promotional and operational materials for on-site display and digital needs.

· Collaborate with Social Media Coordinator to distribute event assets.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar field

· Minimum 2 years Marketing and Event Management experience

· Proficiency in Graphic design

Skills and Abilities:

· Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.

· Attention to detail

· Ability to read, create and edit proposals

· Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

· Excellent customer service and people skills

· Ability to deal effectively with customers, management, employees, and outside vendors while working under pressure.

Computer Skills:

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Business Suite.

· Proficiency in Canva.

· Experience with Event Management software.

Pay: Salary ($44,000 - $48,000 based on experience) + Monthly Commission potential
