A well-known e-commerce/tech enterprise is seeking an experienced Events Marketing Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in shaping and executing impactful events that align with their business priorities and customer-centric approach.
Duration: 11-Month contract
Location: Seattle, WA (hybrid-onsite)
Hours: 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: $45-47/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Project Administration:
- Collaborate with Legal and finance teams to onboard vendors, process contracts, purchase orders (POs), and manage invoices.
- Ensure compliance with legal and financial protocols for all event-related activities.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Align event activities with business priorities across stakeholder groups, working closely with sales leadership and sales teams.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work.
Vendor Management:
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables and building processes for repeatable and scalable event activities.
Operational Excellence:
- Execute events with operational and logistical excellence, focusing on the overall customer experience with a customer-obsessed mindset.
- Manage event agendas, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for attendees.
Financial Oversight:
- Effectively manage event budgets, including creating and tracking POs and invoices.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of events marketing experience in a technology environment, delivering live and virtual event programs (500+ attendees) aligned with the customer journey and field sales goals.
- Proven track record of facilitating cross-functional interactions to create, plan, and execute events.
- Experience managing event budgets, including POs and invoicing.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or a relevant field of study; or 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Required Skillsets:
- Proven ability to successfully manage and execute multiple projects with different priorities and stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills and experience managing deliverables in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive approach to handling challenges and ability to troubleshoot problems quickly on event days.
- Collaborative attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure.
*Must be willing to travel up to 4-5 times on a maximum basis, based on contract requirements.
