Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Event Manager to join our growing team. The person in this position will report to our Sr. Manager of Global Events. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning and executing a wide range of regional sales events within the US and Canada to motivate our independent distributors and drive more product sales. After a period of training, the person in this role will need to manage the planning and operation of these regional events (generally from 50-500 attendees) from start to finish with minimal guidance. Travel to all US/CAN regional events as well as a couple of global events per year is required.
Regular travel within the US and Canada (approximately 10 events per year) and occasional support for international events are required.
Requirements
Event Planning and Execution
- Develop and execute comprehensive event plans, ensuring all aspects are seamlessly coordinated.
- Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, contract negotiation, catering, audio-visual, transportation, entertainment, F&B, and other event-related details.
- Coordinate with external vendors and partners to enhance the overall event experience.
- Ability to manage staff onsite and lead briefings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines at once.
Program Development
- Create engaging and impactful regional event programs that align with the company's objectives and messaging.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate product launches, promotions, and recognition ceremonies into the event agendas as needed.
Budget Management
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while delivering high-quality events.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to maximize value and minimize expenses.
Post Event Analysis
- Conduct post-event surveys and recap meetings to measure the success of each event and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Provide recommendations for future events based on participant and team feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Sales, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of two years of event and meeting planning experience, preferably in the Direct Selling or Multi-level Marketing industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Ability to travel to at least 10 events per year, most of which will fall on a weekend.
