JOB SUMMARY
The Office of Faculty Development, a highly visible office with activities bridging the Medical School,
Michigan Medicine and the campus community is looking for a high-energy, detailed-oriented individual to join our fast-paced team. The Faculty Development Coordinator will report to the Director of Faculty
Development but will work collaboratively with Faculty Development program managers.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Manage program logistics including room schedules and set-up, registration, catering, arrange and supervise vendor service delivery, audio visual equipment for synchronous activities, virtual moderating over Zoom, and other services as needed
- Additional workshop management including developing program communications and preparation and/or editing of curricular materials
- Preparation and close-out of Continuing Medical Education (CME) applications
- Booking meeting space and maintaining the Faculty Development program calendar
- Coordinates other ad hoc projects as required
WHAT IS REQUIRED
- Associate's degree and/or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years administrative support experience
- Demonstrated interest and involvement in enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Excellent organizational skills, including ability to plan, prioritize, and follow through on a large and diverse workload simultaneously, while attending to detail and meeting deadlines
- The individual should possess excellent interpersonal skills in order to deal collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to effectively receive tasks and information from more than one person
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams and independently
- Applicants should demonstrate excellent critical thinking skills and good judgment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Basic proficiency and level of comfort with technology including but not limited to Microsoft and
Google suites, Zoom functionality
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT
- Previous experience working with faculty and executive level leadership
- Previous event planning experience
Work Schedule
Full Time – 8:30am – 5pm
BACKGROUND SCREENING
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report
