Position Overview
A Commercial Estimator/Project Coordinator is a full-time position at RDS. This position works in partnership with vendors, clients, and all levels of the organization. The responsibilities include take off plans, create estimated costs for review by senior estimator. Budget commercial jobs and Project Coordinator for ongoing jobs. Job Description
Required- 5+ Prior years commercial estimating/ project engineering experience
Must have technology skills with emphasis on estimating and project engineering software, spreadsheets, and Microsoft products
Needs high attention to detail for accurate estimating and project coordination.
Solid communication and time management skills
ESTIMATING
Perform counts and take off of jobs using McCormick Estimating with updated material pricing and RDS estimating processes.
Count quotable items such as gear and fixtures and send out for multiple quotes. Qualify quotes with bid requirements.
Create quality bids, timely, proposals with complete scope and follow up with the customer.
Cross review other estimator bids, as needed, for technical feedback and possible missed items.
PROJECT ENGINEER
Responsible for accuracy/ timeliness of quoted items and long lead items as needed
Monitor delivery dates for long lead items for potential changes
Verify amounts/ quantities and issue PO’s for quoteables.
Price and process change orders
Create new job and budgets.
Assist Project manager with monthly progress invoicing for ongoing jobs.
Provide subcontractors with job contract
Provide warranty letter to General Contractor
Review and monitor job cost for potential issues.
Details
Position is full-time 40 hours per week and includes benefits. This position is not a remote position.
Pay scale- $22-28/ hour based on experience.
