Typical Day in the Life
A typical day as an ERP Account Manager may include the following:
- Create and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure clients are receiving services that meet their business needs. Act as the liaison between client, internal resources, and third-party consultants by serving as the primary customer contact during the life cycle of the project.
- Customer Success: Ensure customer satisfaction and success by proactively engaging with clients, offering product support, and providing regular updates on new features and enhancements. Identify potential issues or roadblocks and take appropriate actions to resolve them.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate staff and team members and monitor completion of tasks.
- Account Growth: Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within assigned accounts to drive revenue growth. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create customized proposals and demonstrate the value of additional products and services.
- Renewal Management: Track contract renewals and proactively engage with clients before contract expiration to secure renewals. Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess their satisfaction and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of account activities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts. Generate reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators, progress, and potential challenges.
- Customer Advocacy: Be a strong advocate for your clients within the company. Effectively communicate client needs, feedback, and feature requests to the product and development teams to influence future enhancements.
Who You Are
- You have 2+ years of experience working with customers and vendors, managing relationships.
- Knowledge of software industry is preferred.
- You have the ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- You are able to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
- You thrive on establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with coworkers and clients.
- You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office and using various software packages
