The Roller Operator / Water Truck Driver will use a roller to compact subgrade, dirt, and aggregates. Roller person drives machine in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted, rolling to desired compaction and smoothness. Operator will also drive water truck and trailer to jobsite and is responsible for filling truck and distributing water in desired areas as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to compact various surfaces such as dirt and aggregates.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Learn and follow rolling patterns.
• Understand equipment and their uses.
• Work with other crew members.
• Perform daily inspection and maintenance and ensure that equipment is in safe and proper working order including fluid checks and proper lubrication. Reports to shop when equipment needs repair.
• Keeps roller clean and prepares equipment for transport on trailer when needed.
• Fill water truck following company procedures.
• Distribute water in desired areas as needed
• Maintain orderliness, cleanliness and safety at job-site.
• Fulfill duties of position and any other tasks within their abilities as assigned by the crew leader/management.
• Qualifications
• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Class A CDL required.
• Must pass DOT physical & drug screen.
• Must be able to understand directions and communicate effectively with job site leaders and coworkers.
• Ability to understand and follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Ability to work at a steady pace
• Smart phone or tablet required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
