Job Description
- Candidates should exhibit the ability to manage an EOIR Case Load
- Removal defense matters, including but not limited to cancellation of removal and asylum
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Family based immigration matters including waivers and consular processing
- Special immigrant VISAs, including U, T, VAWA, SIJS, and DACA
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Previous experience as a paralegal in immigration law
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with people of different cultures
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent customer service skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional etiquette and appearance
- Must be a team player, be able to multitask, and work in a fast pace office environment
- Knowledge of eImmigrationAir (or comparable) software
