Position Summary:
The Environmental Technician/Scientist/Geologist/Engineer will conduct regular tests and investigations to gather data regarding the state of pollutants in the natural environment. Research and identify the key sources of pollution and how it affects a designated environment. Develop and implement strategies to control, minimize and eliminate contamination in your region.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
· Perform tests and sampling of environmental materials including air, groundwater, soil, as well as potential contaminates found in building materials.
· Collect detailed information for all field activities to provide vital data in the report development process.
· Assistance with preparation of summary reports and regulatory forms, as needed.
· Assisting project managers and senior staff with complex tasks.
· Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
· Identify long- and short-term environmental dilemmas and offer valuable insight regarding the most effective preservation directives.
· Maintain and expand professional knowledge and skill sets through participating in educational opportunities, growing professional networks, becoming a member of respected professional societies and staying abreast of industry trends.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field.
· 0-5 years of experience in the environmental field or lab setting
· High attention to detail and organization
· Strong communication ability with peers, management, and clients.
· Must be a quick starter.
· Valid Driver License
Preferred Requirements:
· Experience as a Geologist, Engineer or Scientist in the Environmental industry.
· Strong technical writing skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
· Strong time management skills.
· Experience working with State Regulations and related entities.
· Knowledge of Environmental Remediation.
· Project management experience.
This position involves working with project managers to support remediation, site evaluation and environmental construction activities. This position will also include site assessment, field sampling and data review, along with environmental report writing and assisting project management and senior engineers with various tasks on an as needed basis.
It is anticipated that this role will consist of a mix of field and office-based work and will require knowledge of environmental remediation, engineering and geology.
This role will require strict adherence to deadlines, therefore strong time management and communication skills are needed.
This role would primarily be based in the Broomfield, CO area with local travel only.
