Fleet Maintenance Technician | Summary

We are looking to hire a skilled technician to maintain and service fleet vehicles and equipment. To be successful as a fleet technician, you should have strong mechanical skills and adhere to all safety procedures and practices. A fleet technician should be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and demonstrate excellent time management skills.

Fleet Maintenance Technician | Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Remove and replace all fluids and filters.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance work.
• Perform tire rotations and ensure pressures are as required.
• Replace lights, wiper blades, and other wear items.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles and equipment utilizing diagnostic devices.
• Preferred experience preforming DOT Inspections on light and heavy duty over-the-road trucks and trailers.

Fleet Maintenance Technician | Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.

Fleet Maintenance Technician | Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• For insurability purposes a valid driver's license is required.
• Vocational or technical school training preferred.
• Ability to weld and fabricate preferred.

Fleet Maintenance Technician | Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.

Fleet Maintenance Technician | Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
