Primary responsibilities of this position include cleaningand sanitizing restrooms, offices and other designated areas as assigned.Additionally, the right candidate will be responsible for monitoring andreplenishing supplies.
PrimaryJob Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cleans rest rooms, offices, and replenishes supplies such as toilet paper and paper towels.
- Sweeps, mops, and waxes floors and vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs in assigned areas.
- Reports to Supervisor damaged structures and equipment. Take care of equipment, maintenance of equipment, and cleanliness of equipment.
- Attends training classes and seminars to improve knowledge and skills.
- Polishes windows, door wells, stairwells and water fountains.
- Cleans other areas as assigned, work special events and programs outside the normal work hours.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months of custodialexperience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
- Currentknowledge of custodial practices. Ability to clean and use custodialequipment to include scrubbers, mops, vacuums, ride on equipment, etc...Ability to work nights from 10pm - 6:30am.
- Language Skills: Abilityto read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, andmemos. Ability to write simple correspondence
- MathematicalSkills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, anddivide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, anddecimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent as it relates tocleaning solutions.
- ReasoningAbility: Proven track record of making sensible andwell-grounded decisions, reflecting a keen understanding of the situation athand.
