We are actively seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager for our manufacturing facilities in Clarksville, TN. The EHS Manager will ensure programs, policies and systems address LG Chem's EHS risk profiles and guidelines and are in compliance with all Federal, State and Local regulations. The manager will be fully responsible to implement and assess all EHS programs on an on-going basis and make the necessary changes to keep these current and within all regulatory guidelines.

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to) : Create, develop and implement all EHS programs and strategies to align LG Chem risk profiles and guidelines with US regulatory requirements. Maintain, revise and enforce systems and programs, which teach and promote compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and TOHSA regulations, initiatives, procedures, and policies, including local, state, and federal rules leading to the protection of employees, the community and the environment. Maintain required EHS, as well as training documents/files and revise as necessary.

Act as liaison between the plant and all Federal, State, and Local enforcement agencies. Prepare and submit all environmental plans and reports. Created and conduct weekly, monthly and quarterly safety audits and inspections of equipment, vehicles, machinery, and Safety apparatus to identify and correct potential hazards and to ensure safety specification, regulations, and compliance is met.

Provide timely follow-up on violations and corrective action implementation up to and including conducting remedial training, as a result of internal and external findings. Partner with Senior Leaders to develop EHS goals and strategies that mitigate risk and attend meetings to provide status updates in the areas of Environmental, Health and Safety. Lead risk assessments to identify and evaluate hazards and develop corrective action plans.

Conduct, support and advise Plant and Senior management with incident reporting and investigation findings; which includes but is not limited to accident investigations to determine root cause, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries, property damage, first aid and OSHA recordable events and Corrective and Preventive Actions. completion at the workplace and assist in the implementation of appropriate corrective action. Work and collaborate with team members to identify and address EHS issues related to facilities, waste treatment, equipment, hazards and other areas.

Develop site-specific EHS training programs and materials that support a safety-first vision and philosophy. Establish and support facility management in developing initiatives, positive reinforcement that will help motivate employees and cultivate the safety culture in the workplace. Develop and maintain a workplace emergency response plan.

Maintain OSHA 300 log and all environmental permits. Maintain product safety data sheets(PSDS), and distribute as needed. Lead all EHS training for the site and monitor and schedule employees specific safety training.

This includes annual Safety Day Training. Continually evaluate and improve training programs to meet plant needs. Manage the EHS Management System and prepare for audits.

Oversee all hazardous waste programs. Perform site safety inspections and report findings. Effectively enforce administrative stop work authority.

Manage document (ISO, IATF, etc.) of standards in the team. Must uphold the Jeong-Do Management(Code of ethics). Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety. Requirements: 10+years of EHS experience in manufacturing environment required with high preference for Chemical or Petrochemical industry. 10+years of EHS experience in areas of Hazardous Materials and Regulatory Reporting required Experience with Air Permit (Construction/Operation) and Wastewater Permit Experience with Wastewater management, emergency response to chemical spills, and OSHA compliance required.

Experience with Tennessee Environmental Regulations required. Experience in preparing approval documents for air and water quality environment and responding to Permits Toxic Material handling experience for EHS program experience a plus PPE will be required to be worn in certain areas of the production facility. Skills / Competencies: Knowledge of production, manufacturing, shipping and inventory processes and systems.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Excellent organizational skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Maintains professional presentation, attitude, and behavior toward others. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented and ability to prioritize and multi-task.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power point). Knowledge of applicable regulations. (OSHA, TOSHA, ANSI, NFPA, EPA, DOT) Experience working in the chemical processing, or manufacturing plants, preferred.
