Job Description Qualifications:
Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is seeking a highly talented and motivated 737 Environmental Control System Low Pressure Analysis Engineer(Associate or Experienced) supporting the 737 program and commercial derivatives in Renton, WA. This team has a wide breadth of work statement supporting the air distribution, decompression, and EE cooling systems analysis for production, fleet and development programs.

Position Overview:
Currently seeking mid-career engineers who are eager to take on exciting and challenging work and enhance their analysis capability and skills working alongside the outstanding 737 Low pressure Analysis team.
Our team is responsible for the certification, in-production analysis, and in-service analysis of the Air Distribution System, Decompression analysis and EE Cooling System. This role will support 737 MAX development certification activities including flight testing, production support, and fleet activities. This role provides the candidate with an excellent opportunity to contribute to the certification of the 737-10 MAX aircraft including flight testing and analysis.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Work within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), 737 Environmental Control Systems (ECS) organization to develop, produce, deliver and support customers who fly Boeing airplanes with their Air Distribution, EE Cooling and Decompression Analysis.
  • Enable high aircraft performance while operating in compliance with regulatory (FAA, EASA, etc) requirements.
  • Lead MAX development certification activities for the 737-10 ATC.
  • Support the Analysis of exciting new product improvement activities for the 737 program
  • Exercise strong project management skills to independently execute a variety of projects to completion.
  • Support equipment environmental qualification testing and reviews.
  • Perform decompression analysis for both customer intro activity, and post production BBJ support.
  • Collaborate with other organizations such as Fleet Chief Office, Service Engineering, Flight Deck Crew Operations, Pilots, Electrical Systems, Systems Stress, Airline Customers, Factory and Flight Line Operations, Supply Chain, Airplane Safety and many others.
  • Coordinate and lead technical reviews with other internal ECS teams, customers, suppliers and pilot community.
  • Mentor with our experienced senior engineers to understand the system architecture, analysis techniques and contribute to the success of the analysis team.

Work Authorization:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications and Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field.
  • 2+ years of experience working with or on an engineering team.
  • Experience leading projects

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in Mechanical Systems Engineering
  • Environmental Control Systems and analysis is preferred
  • Strong communication skills

Typical Education and Experience
Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:
  • Associate (Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400
  • Experienced (Level 3): $102,000 - $138,000
