Environmental and/or Health & Safety Auditor/Compliance Specialist

Environmental and/or Health & Safety (EHS) Auditor/Compliance Specialists and EHS Attorney(s)

A Cincinnati-based law firm, Company is seeking potentially several highly motivated environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)/DOT auditors /compliance specialists and/or EHS attorneys possessing an EHS technical background to join its team. We are considering associate, intermediate and senior level EHS professions / attorneys possessing some - to much EH&S audit experience, a technical background, and an understanding of EH&S regulatory programs, a strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication abilities, efficient computer skills, the willingness to travel extensively, and the ability to organize, manage, oversee, lead, and support other employees and client personnel on high-profile projects. Experience in specialized programs such as RMP/PSM/PHA, TSCA, product safety, and ISO 14001/45001/9001 is a plus as are advanced educational achievements such as a JD, PhD, MS, PE, CSP, CIH and other recognized certifications. • Audit EHS compliance at manufacturing, distribution and retail facilities (environmental knowledge is the higher preference right now)

• Support EHS compliance programs at manufacturing, distribution and retail facilities

• Must know EHS standards / regulations exceptionally well (or but butt to get there quickly)

• Must be:

  • Good with people,

  • A good communicator, and

  • Able to write well.

• Willing to travel 35 - 55% of the time throughout the US and internationally

· Other pluses:

o Know / audit PSM/RMP programs

o Know / audit DOT/IATA/IMDG

o Know / Audit / support EHS Management Systems (ISO 14001 / 45001)

o Familiar with corporate social responsibility audits

o Air permitting experience

o Certifications / higher ed are a plus - MS, CSP, CIH, PE, BEAC, CHMM, RBA, etc.

o Can bring business. A person with a book of business and ability to generate would be a home run and could place them in a manager / do-er position.
