Summary of Responsibilities
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting a culture of safety at Braun Industries. This role involves identifying potential hazards, developing and implementing safety policies and procedures, conducting training sessions, and monitoring safety performance.
Summary of Activities
Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field or 10 years related experience.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.
- Experience evaluating Environmental Health and Safety related risks
- Knowledge of safe work behaviors and interpretations of EHS data
- Experience using standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing and audiovisual presentation
- Valid driver’s license

- Strong oral and written communication
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to facilitate safety training sessions.

- Successfully pass a post offer drug test, as well as random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug and alcohol test thereafter
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance, regularly require to walk, talk and hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently required to use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally required to stoop or crawl
