Kimley-Horn, one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," is looking for an Entry-Level Instructional Designer to join the corporate Training team in our Raleigh, NC office.
This is an in-office position.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing learning materials for in-person, virtual, and blended learning environments and managing internal training websites. The ideal candidate will have a mix of communication, writing skills, and visual design.
- Develop course content (presentations, learning activities, assignments, assessments, etc.)
- Create virtual learning content (e.g., eLearning courses, instructor-led courses)
- Develop instructor lesson plans, rubrics, and other teaching tools
- Edit and proofread materials for grammar, format, style, accuracy, and consistency
- Create graphics and other visual for training materials and websites
- Write and edit content for internal training platform and team website
- Collaborate with internal partners to maintain and upgrade internal training platform
- Support other instructional design team activities as needed
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 1+ years post-graduate experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (or similar)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or other website design platforms
- Travel up to 5%
