ACS is looking for an Entry Level Electrical Engineerto join our team.

This individual will work with teams of engineers of varied disciplines to provide excellent client service, from the design concept stage through commissioning and job closeout. This great opportunity is open at our headquartered office in Verona, WI or our Troy, MI office.
Job responsibilities include:
- Reviews design documents for completeness, verification of design criteria, coordination, budget, and constructability.
- Develops cost estimates for electrical power, lighting and low voltage systems.
- Performs detailed engineering functions including: engineering calculations, code review, selection and purchasing equipment, and shop drawing review.
- Assists Project Manager with developing a project schedule for the electrical scope of work.
- Assists Project Manager in contractor bidding through developing documentation, identifying bidders, attending bid meetings onsite, bid review, and contractor selection.
- Reviewing, answering and processing of electrical submittals and questions.
- Coordination with team members and other trades for power requirements, space allocation, facility power outages, start-up of systems and commissioning.
- Travels to client location to oversee construction and start-up.
- Works on multiple projects in a given time period, depending upon project size and deadline.
- Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unexpected demands due to changes in project scope or deadline. Uses strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to effectively handle deadline pressures without creating workflow problems for others.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent engineering skills including physics, circuit analysis and senior level power courses.
- Experience with Revit.
- Ability to understand and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA Codes.
- Work experience in Electrical Engineering design or construction is a plus.
- Strong problem solving skills, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well in project team environment, including: willingness to accept responsibility, team player, takes initiative to improve personal and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all internal and external levels and groups.
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills, including demonstrated technical writing skills.
Ability to travel to meetings and training opportunities and customer job sites outside of the office; up to 50% travel may be required. - Ability to travel to customer facilities for client meetings, equipment installation, construction oversight, power shutdown activities, and commissioning.
