Atlanta Black Star is looking for an experienced freelance SEO Content Writerwith a special focus in Entertainment, TV/Film, Music, Health and/or Lifestylecontent. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of organic content strategy and SEO factors.
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth competitive analysis on competitor content to understand why a piece of content is ranking and how to create a competing piece that provides substantially more value.
- Write SEO optimized content to drive performance in organic search
- Pitch story ideas that fit both our timely and evergreen content strategies
- Revisit, optimize and improve older articles to boost their performance
- Conduct keyword research to plan content that drives organic traffic
- Write well-researched pieces that consistently rank in Google search
- Write weekly TV/Film reviews and/or recaps that are relevant to an African-American audience
- Write weekly listicles on Health and Lifestyle topics
- Write evergreen content across Entertainment, TV/Film, Music and Lifestyle categories
