Enterprise Architect

The Enterprise Architect leads the design and implementation of TradePMR’s enterprise-level architecture. This person is instrumental in shaping our IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving innovation in technology solutions. An integral part of our team, the Enterprise Architect has the opportunity to contribute to the long-term success of the organization by developing scalable, secure, and efficient IT systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning

• Collaborate with executive leadership, product managers, business stakeholders, and IT teams to understand organizational goals and formulate a comprehensive IT strategy.
• Align technology initiatives with strategic objectives and drive consensus on technology investments.
• Provide guidance on technology investments and prioritize initiatives based on strategic importance.

2. Architecture Design

• Develop and maintain a holistic Enterprise Architecture framework encompassing applications, data, technology, transactions, and security.
• Design and create detailed architecture blueprints and roadmaps that guide the development and evolution of IT systems and encompass hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
• Ensure that architecture solutions are scalable, adaptable, and in compliance with security and regulatory standards.

3. Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture Design

• Architect and maintain robust microservices and event-driven architecture, ensuring modularity, scalability, and fault tolerance.
• Design event-driven workflows to enable real-time processing and responsiveness in a transaction-heavy environment.
• Develop strategies for efficiently processing and managing large volumes of transactions in a distributed and scalable manner.
• Optimize performance and reliability of microservices handling transactional workloads.

4. AWS Cloud Expertise

• Leverage deep expertise in AWS services to design and implement cloud-based solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Implement best practices for microservices deployment, containerization, and serverless computing on AWS.

5. Technology Evaluation and Innovation

• Conduct in-depth evaluations of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitor strategies.
• Lead efforts to introduce innovative technologies that enhance business processes, efficiency, and competitiveness.
• Conduct technology assessments and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
• Lead proof-of-concept efforts to test and validate the feasibility of integrating new technologies into fintech ecosystems.

6. Collaboration and Leadership

• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development teams, and infrastructure specialists, to ensure seamless integration and implementation of architecture solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Software Engineers and IT professionals.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the IT organization.

7. Risk Management

• Identify potential risks associated with technology solutions and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

8. Governance and Standards

• Establish and enforce architectural standards, best practices, and policies.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of IT governance frameworks.
• Ensure that solutions comply with regulatory requirements, including data security, privacy, and anti-money laundering (AML) measures.
• Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with established standards.

9. Stakeholder Communication

• Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Present architectural proposals, roadmaps, and project updates to executive leadership and business teams.
• Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of architecture decisions and their business impact.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years in an Enterprise Architecture role
• Experience working with a large number of transactions across a system
• Bachelor’s degree in business, data, application, network or security architecture. Master’s degree in Enterprise Architecture preferred.
• Experience in financial services preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $180,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
