Job Description
CWS is hiring an Enterprise Architect at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL
Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Enterprise Architect researches, documents, and analyzes enterprise operational and system architectures for Department of Defense (DOD) combatant command headquarters, develops DOD Architecture Framework (DODAF)- compliant views and associated data, and works with functional subject matter experts to collect and describe operational and system processes, activities, and systems.
- The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for researching, documenting, and analyzing USCENTCOM architectures (including business, warfighting, enterprise, and intelligence processes) to identify mission capability gaps, overlaps, and shortfalls, and recommend architectural, IT, or process solutions as required.
- The Enterprise Architect shall prepare, staff, and publish formal Command architecture documents, produce architecture development plans and reports, and conduct strategic Architecture Branch staff actions (tasks, papers, briefings,) as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent and 6 years related but Master's Degree is preferred.
- Possess Formal DOD architecture development education and/or equivalent architecture development.
- Advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint user capabilities to develop reports and excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oral briefs to senior management.
- The candidate must be a strong team player with strong customer interface skills.
- Ability to work independently with little direction and guidance and as a member of a team.
- Understand DOD language/terminology.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of the DODAF and other key DOD architecture and strategic planning Formal DODAF training and/or equivalent development experience a plus. Working knowledge of DOD Architecture Repository System (DARS) is a plus. Exposure to Cyberwarfare concepts is a plus.
- Experience developing architectural models and products/artifacts for IT systems and processes. Specific experience with Sparx Systems' Enterprise Architect and related tools a plus.
- Joint military experience (joint task force headquarters and/or higher).
- Experience using the following tools: Sparx Systems' Enterprise Architect and related tools, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience developing architectural models and products/artifacts for IT systems and processes.
- Experience in IT systems development, operations, and maintenance; or software design, development, and maintenance; or business process design and analysis.
- Familiarity with the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).
- Familiarity with recent and emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud, Machine Learning (ML), Quantum computing, and/or Zero Trust (ZT) security.
Security Clearance
- Candidate must have a Secret Clearance with ability to be cleared to Top Secret/SCI.
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
- All positions on this contract are considered deployable, with potential travel both CONUS and OCONUS; as such, possession and maintenance of a current U.S. passport is required. However, the likeliness this position will travel is 5%.
