The Multilingual Learner (ML) team provides instruction to multilingual students with varying levels of English proficiency, and supports a wide variety of learners in the acquisition of academic vocabulary and listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. As a member of the Student Services team, our ML teachers collaborate closely with general educators and other professionals to provide instruction to students through co-teaching, push-in, and pull-out service delivery models. The ML teacher reflects a high degree of professionalism through sensitivity to cultural backgrounds, individual learning differences, and flexible service delivery.
Compensation is commensurate with education and years of experience. A valid Illinois teaching certification with an EL/ML endorsement is required.
