You'll enjoy a standard 9-5, schedule, working three days in the office and 2 days from home. WHAT YOU DO
As an Engineering Project Accountant, you provide accounting support services for a variety of exciting projects involving NYC government agencies. Your main focus is on processing billings, managing project-related accounts receivables, and overseeing subcontractors. You work closely with project managers and clients, ensuring accurate budgeting, contract compliance, timely monthly billings, and smooth payment processes. Additionally, you work with the CFO and team to keep them informed about statuses and address any issues.
Collaboration is key as you review and process a high volume of project-related invoices, making sure they align with contract terms and preventing any discrepancies. You're responsible for maintaining organized records of executed contracts, proposals, purchase orders, and change orders. It's a busy job and you love every minute!
QUALIFICATIONS
- NYC agency billing and Deltek experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the architecture, construction, or engineering industries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Professional
- Experience with Deltek Ajera is preferred
