This Engineering Manager of New Product Development would play a key role leading and technically contributing to our engineering team as we develop the company's grid connected power electronics solutions. The successful candidate must be a hands-on experienced Engineering Leader, leveraging related professional experience and education in power electronics theories and methods to deliver diverse grid connected hardware & system solutions for AC & DC power converter platforms. The individual must be a highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong ethics, experienced in delivering industrial product quality and performance with proven project leadership and team leadership experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
• 15+ years of experience in system architecture and design for high power/voltage product
development for grid connected power electronics solutions leveraging Digital, Analog, DSP and
Software based solutions.
• Strong Team Leadership skills with proven experience.
• System and sub-system trade-offs supporting strong HW & SW build/buy decisions.
• Developing and writing of System & Subsystem Specifications based on high level requirements.
• Working knowledge of buck/boost, multi-phase/interleaved, DAB, LLC, and H-bridge topologies
• Working knowledge of high-power switching devices, including Silicon FETs, GaN FETs and
especially SiC FETs.
• Working knowledge of mixed signal PCBA design (digital/analog/power) Safety compliance and
EMC mitigation in high noise environments.
• Working knowledge of high-power component and sub-system cooling strategies.
• Working knowledge of industrial grade mechanical engineering & embedded software
development processes.
• Working knowledge of Unit, Subsystem & System testing that supports early design simulation.
• Experienced leading contract manufacturers in prototype building and testing
• Strong Supply Chain Management skills, relationships & proven experience.
• Working knowledge of Design for Manufacture & Test (DFM/DFT), Quality, and Reliability
concepts.
• Working knowledge of the NPI process, transitioning a product to a manufacturing team.
• Exposure to environmentally hardened Industrial rated Product Development.
• Good documentation, speaking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proven track record in total product lifecycle (concept to grave) Product Development.

Qualifications
Education:
• MSEE with a strong Power Electronics background
