Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern II to be based in Akron, Ohio.
This position is expected to begin in May or June 2024.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids. Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelors in Civil Engineering
Must have completed 2 years of study in the applicable program
Due to the nature of work, US Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preliminary Structural Engineering courses are preferred, such as but not limited to Structural Analysis and Mechanics of Materials.
A desire to gain experience in bridge design and inspection is preferred

Relocation is not available for this position
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $18.59 - 32.51/hr
