The ideal candidate will be skilled in multiple aspects of IT technical support, including hardware, servers, network switches and access points, etc. Additionally, this person should be committed to collaborating with our associates to guide and support them with their IT needs. The IT Intern will work closely with IT OSS Regional Managers, the IT Solution managers and Hexion associates, to support and promote IT policies and standards.
- Guide and support end users with incidents/requests, build relationships with the end user community
- Provision equipment to end users: Computers and other IT equipment
- Support local hardware IT hardware like workstations, printers, and other small IT equipment. This consists of image/reimage, break fix/hardware refresh and shipping of IT equipment when necessary. May install or rack servers, switches, routers, access points, etc. in coordination or at the direction of the managed service provider
- Provide local hands and eyes services for all local IT Infrastructure for planned, unplanned, outages & turnarounds
- Pursuing a Computer Science, Business degree or related field with interests in Technology
- The ability to work and communicate effectively with both IT and Hexion end user community
- Knowledge of computer science for related field of study or tools
- Experience working with computers, servers and problem solving
