POSITION DESCRIPTION
Engineering Project Coordinator: Works with department engineers and personnel to ensure that aspects of the projects are carried out and cared for. This individual will make sure that work is done according to schedule, and that staff are meeting their deadlines within budget. Coordinator will also manage engineering processes and procedures and add value to reduce risk within the Transmission Department and across all company teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating and managing the transmission department processes.
- Perform analytical and administrative tasks relating to electrical interconnection and development of wind, solar, or other energy projects.
- Assist other members of the transmission team with analytic and administrative tasks relating to Project Scoping, Screening Analyses, Generator Interconnection, Facilities Studies, IA negotiation and Strategic Initiatives
- Represent National Grid Renewables and the Transmission Department at appropriate industry conferences/meetings if needed.
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to achieve successful project creation and implementation.
- Capable of flexible response to changing engineering policy and company procedures.
- Support VP-Transmission.
Requirements
- Two year Associates degree in Electric Engineering technology, Engineering degree, or equivalent electric industry experience.
- 2-4 years of electric or renewable energy industry experience.
- Persevering, team player, task oriented, takes ownership.
