Community Engagement Coordinator
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Hours & Shifts: Full-time, Exempt. Monday- Friday with occasional weekends and evenings.
Salary Range: $40k-50k depending on skills and experience
Reports To: Director of Community Engagement

Department & Purpose
Responsible for fulfilling LADD's mission to empower adults with developmental disabilities to love, work, and connect; engages directly with developmentally disabled adults and their families based on their prescribed individual needs.
About the Role
The Community Engagement Coordinator will work actively in the community to promote LADD's work. They will meet with prospective individuals and families interested in LADD services and will work as a liaison for families of people currently receiving services.
Essential Functions of the Role:
  • The primary point of contact for all program inquiries
  • Conduct program tour for interested individuals and families
  • Will work to develop and evolve relationships with disability rights organizations, other providers, OOD, HCDDS, DODD and other relevant entities
  • Attend, table and speak at transition and program fairs and conferences to promote LADD's work
  • Have work or lived experience related to developmental disabilities
  • Responsible for managing, tracking, and updating the program waitlist
  • Completes intake assessments, interviews and documents
  • Conduct program tours for interested individuals and families
  • Work closely with program management regarding intake applicants
  • Serve as the agency parent liaison
  • Coordinate parent activities and facilities parent meeting and events
  • Model The LADD Way (TLW)
  • Represents LADD to the public in a positive manner as appropriate
AdditionalResponsibilities:
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Fills in for staff when necessary
  • Serves as an advocate for the organizations mission and programs in the community
  • Attend necessary seminars, workshops and conferences related to newest requirements and rules/ regulations applicable to the organization
Education/ Skills & Experience
  • Associate Degree Required (Bachelors Degree Preferred)
  • Two or more years of Customer Service Experience
  • General overall knowledge of disability services
  • Demonstrate understanding of disability services and LADD programs
  • Display the ability to communicate effectively with individuals
  • Show proficiency with MS Office computer programs
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a calm disposition
  • Maintains a professional demeanor and well groomed appearance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to pivot when needed
Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Work schedule will normally be Monday through Friday and may include weekends and/ or evenings
  • Job will include being in an office environment as well as remote sites; and will require travel to other locations
