As we continue to drive forward with various programming initiatives, we are seeking a passionate and skilled Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities:

As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you will be at the forefront of our mission, responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers as well as collaborating with the community to support our programs and initiatives. Your role will involve:

1. Volunteer Recruitment: Develop and implement strategies for recruiting diverse and skilled volunteers to meet the organization's needs.

2. Training and Onboarding: Create and deliver comprehensive orientation and training programs for volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles.

3. Placement and Scheduling: Match volunteers with appropriate roles based on their skills, interests, and availability. Develop and maintain volunteer schedules.

4. Communication: Foster open and effective communication with volunteers, community members, business owners, and various stakeholders providing regular updates, addressing concerns, recognizing contributions, and promoting Troy Main Street initiatives through verbal and written communication.

5. Recognition and Appreciation: Develop and implement a volunteer recognition program to celebrate and acknowledge the efforts of our dedicated volunteers.

6. Data Management: Maintain accurate records of volunteer information, hours worked, and program participation. Generate reports as needed for evaluation and reporting purposes.

7. Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to ensure fluidity, team cohesion, and seamless collaboration, ultimately fostering an environment that promotes innovation and the achievement of our organizational objectives.

8. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Completion of high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in volunteer management, Community Engagement, communications, or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for the organization's mission and values, community building, and social impact.
