Form of workTrinity Health Of New England is looking for an EMS Dispatcher to join our team of mission-driven healthcare innovators at our Stafford Springs, CT location. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors. This person is responsible for receiving incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and performs Emergency Medical Dispatching (EMD) services where required. Enters key response information into Computer Aided Dispatch system(s). Coordinates and dispatches ambulances and other response vehicles to assure optimal response times. Relays information from other public safety agencies and field personnel or supervision.

What you need:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification/Licensure: Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record. Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certification within three (3) months. State of Connecticut Emergency Telecommunicator Certification within one (1) year.
- Experience: Experience: one-year experience as a dispatcher, and one-year experience in customer service.
- Additional Skills: Proficient map reading skills. Basic medical terminology. Exercise good independent judgement within general policy and procedural guidelines. Good typing skills (minimal of 30 words per minute). Effective customer service and communication skills during high stress situations.
- Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
