We are looking for an upbeat and welcoming person to be our Employee Relations Coordinator for our come care company. Our perfect candidate would have excellent customer service skills to relay to our candidates and employees. They would also be highly efficient, have attention to detail and have had some knowledge/experience caring for others.
As an Employee Relations Coordinator you will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinates and facilitates new associate orientations/training.
- Facilitates pre-employment screening, including: processing background checks, finalizing references, etc.
- Ensures compliance by monitoring employee files, critical due dates, etc.
- Maintains personnel information; including but not limited to: processing new hires, separations, and other transactions.
- Communicates policies and procedures to associates and others upon request, or as necessary. Managing our coaching/disciplinary process.
- Participates in developing creative ideas for attracting qualified, diverse candidates through effective job announcements, job fairs, identified recruiting sources, and other approaches. Back up to our recruitment coordinator.
- Leads our retention efforts for the caregiving team.
- Coordinate with all staff members to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
The successful candidate for this position will have:
- Previous experience working in an office setting, preferably in the health care sector
- Experience as a Caregiver, CNA or nurse is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills – positive and supportive
- Strong organization skills – Multi-task and prioritize
- Effective time management
- Detail oriented - communication and documentation of interactions with applicants and employees
- Intermediate computer skills -- use of technology solutions for all aspects of role
- Innovative and creative – finding solutions and resolving challenges – thinking ‘outside the box’
