St Mary CathedralSchool Teacher's Aide - (Part Time)
The Lafayette Catholic School System is looking for a Teacher's Aide to assist with Elementary Students at St. Mary Cathedral School.
Duties:
The Teacher's Aide will work under the teacher's supervision to help students and provide adult supervision. Teacher's aides must show patience in working with children, be good communicators, and show a willingness to follow teacher direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree or 60+ college credit hours. Preferred: Course work in elementary education.
- Possess Respect & ability to uphold Catholic School Teachings
- Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols
Special Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of high ability program design in a K-6 setting is preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to build parent and student relationships.
- Ability to collaborate inside and outside of department.
- Self-motivated learner.
- Possesses a professionally calm and motivationally intense demeanor.
- Believes in planning and preparation while is also a progressive thinker.
- Cares about his/her character, co-workers, and students.
- Reflects a balanced quality lifestyle (spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally), which is evidenced by personal habits.
