Overview:
As the Elementary School Principal at Gertie Belle Rogers, you will collaborate closely with staff, students, and families to foster a safe, enriching, and inclusive learning environment. We seek a dedicated leader with exemplary communication skills, a passion for education, and a keen understanding of educational policies and practices.
*GBR is one of the three Elementary Schools within the MSD, boasting an enrollment of 390 students spanning from Begindergarten to 5th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement effective school policies and programs that enhance student achievement and well-being.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and staff, ensuring high-quality instruction through regular supervision and feedback.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and stakeholders to address student needs and concerns, fostering a supportive and nurturing school community.
- Play an active role in the recruitment and selection of talented educators and staff members.
- Conduct thorough classroom observations and evaluations to uphold school standards and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
- Lead school-wide initiatives focusing on areas such as safety, student wellness, and academic support.
- Manage student discipline with fairness and consistency, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal educational standards, as well as accreditation requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the school and the wider community, representing the school at various events and fostering positive relationships.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in educational leadership.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
