ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL - INDIAN GROVE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Assistant Principal works in collaboration with and under the supervision of the principal as the instructional leaders of the school. The Assistant Principal will assist in administering all programs in accordance with school board policies and administrative procedures, including:

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Local Education Agent (LEA) and facilitate special education meetings
- Leader of the student services team, including managing special education meetings and ensuring compliance with district, state and national mandates;
- 504 case manager;
- Leader of the multilingual team;
- Manage the special education calendar, including meeting dates and times;
- Create schedules for grade levels, assessments, meetings, fine arts and PE classes, etc.;
- Facilitate or co-facilitate team meetings;
- Coordinate testing, such as ACCESS, IAR, NWEA, etc.;
- Work collaboratively with the building principal to support instructional goals for building;
- Attend district Assistant Principal meetings;
- Design, deliver and/or implement late-start professional development sessions;
- Meet regularly with the Administration to discuss programs, goals, and accomplishments;
- Co-facilitate the operations of the building, including safety drills, discipline and building events.
CERTIFICATION
The successful candidate must meet the legal certification requirements for an administrator in the State of Illinois:
- Active Professional Educator License with Administrative Endorsement
- Illinois Teacher Evaluator
CONTRACT AND COMPENSATION
- 11 Month, 224 day contract
- The starting salary range is $78,000 pending education and experience.
