Qualifications:
- Illinois Professional Educator License (with Principal or General Administrative endorsement)
- Strong Instructional Leadership
- 2 years of experience as a building level administrator
- Ability to demonstrate strong presentation, community outreach and communication skills
- Previous teaching experience is preferred
- Knowledge and experience with Google suite
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional leadership that supports staff's implementation of both curriculum and instructional practices that align with the Board of Education's standards in meeting each students' needs
- Support an active collaborative relationship between Students, Parents, Teachers, Principal, and local community groups to foster understanding and solicit support for overall school objectives and programs
- Implement programs that improve Teacher performance and assist students in realizing appropriate growth
- Establish and maintain an effective and attractive learning environment for Teachers and Students
- Provide guidance and direction for the building of a strong English/Spanish Dual Language Immersion Program
- Implement policies and procedures adopted by the Board of Education and the Illinois School Code
- Ensure the creation of accurate reports, records, lists, and paperwork appropriate to the school's administration
- Maintain high standards of student conduct and enforce discipline as needed, within student rights and District policies
- Supervises the maintenance of accurate records on the progress and attendance of Students
- Assume responsibility for his/her professional growth and development through membership and participation in the affairs of professional organizations
- Participate in the full recruiting process, in-service training, mentoring, and evaluation of the school staff
- Identify, supervise, and evaluate the school's extracurricular programs
- Participate in principal's meetings and all other meetings deemed appropriate
- Assist and support the District's Business Office, Human Resources Department, and District initiated projects
- Implement benchmarks for students and Teachers and track progress toward those goals
- Respond to concerns from parents, teachers, and administrators promptly
- Supervise the daily use of the school facilities for both academic and non-academic purposes
- Attend special events that recognize student achievement, are school or PTO-sponsored activities or athletic events
- Inform the Principal of unusual or routine events and activities that relate to the Principal's accountability
- Performs other tasks and projects as assigned by the Principal
