Position Summary:
The individual will work with the engineering team to bring new products to the market and ensure existing products continue to perform to the highest standards. The individual will be responsible for prototyping new and existing surface mount and through hole circuit designs, troubleshooting circuits, performing circuit and functional testing. The individual will also be responsible for assisting in the development and maintenance of manufacturing test fixtures used by our operations team.
Essential Job Functions:
- Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify prototype and production surface mount and through hole analog and digital circuits.
- Evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production circuits and products by setting up test equipment and environment to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life testing.
- Creates technical reports to describe and illustrate circuit and product operation, malfunctions, and deviation from expected performance for consideration by R&D team.
- Partner with R&D and manufacturing engineers to develop testing procedures and assembly instructions.
- Maintain R&D laboratory equipment and components by performing scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring calibration of equipment and scheduling replacement when needed.
Required Skills:
- Strong circuit troubleshooting skills using a variety of laboratory test and measurement equipment.
- Strong surface mount electronics prototyping skills using a variety of soldering tools.
- Experience with Ability to work with minimal supervision.
