Job Summary:Reporting to the Senior Director, Finance Global Manufacturing, the Director, Plant Controller is a vital member of the Senior Leadership team at Bausch and Lomb's Rochester Operations Plant. This role is pivotal in steering all cost accounting activities to positively impact the bottom line through strategic collaboration across the organization. Key responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, cost savings initiatives, inventory reduction, audit, and reporting.Key Responsibilities:Budgeting / Forecasting:Lead planning activities (Opex, Capex, Labor, etc.) to establish plant budgets, annual standard costs, and forecasts in collaboration with key functional teams.Support the Annual Cost Improvement Program alongside Plant Management.Oversee system standard cost updates and manage strategic planning initiatives.Present annual plans and forecasts to Senior ManagementMonthly Close / Reporting:Coordinate month-close activities to ensure accurate financial statements.Analyze manufacturing variances and lead projects to reduce risks.Provide monthly analysis on deviations and support risk mitigation.Cash Flow / Capex / Inventory:Adhere to the CAPEX plan and maintain cash flow projections.Oversee inventory management and manage assets and inventory reconciliations.Manage assets and inventory physical reconsiliations.Opex:Enforce strict control on plant expenses and adhere to departmental budgets.Audits:Support annual audits, quarterly reviews, and implement SOX-compliant internal controls.Enterprise Excellence / Projects:Champion Enterprise Excellence initiatives and lead improvement projectsManagement :Provide leadership to the accounting team. Team and responsibilities may vary over time.General :Oversight and lead all finance aspects of the plant (local taxes, Grants, Accounting...)Business partnering with local and group stakeholders to ensure success of the plant missionQualifications:BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field10 years or more of progressive experience in financial management or accounting roles5 years or more experience in manufacturing accountingCPA or CMA certification is a plusSkills:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenDetail-oriented with strong organization skills and the ability to multitaskAdvanced level proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and BI applicationsAbility to lead projects, implement KPIs and coordinate transverse teamsExperience with large ERP systems (SAP and Peoplesoft a plus)As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York State. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
