Electronics Engineer, Mid
The Opportunity:
As an Electronics Engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems, that knowledge is key when it comes to providing troubleshooting and engineering analysis on devices that threaten the safety of both the warfighter and law enforcement personnel. We're looking for Electronics Engineer who can use their skills to apply advance technical solutions in support of law enforcement investigations.
At Booz Allen, you'll use your engineering skills to a support a broad range of partners in law enforcement. Our team performs a wide range of technical examinations required to successfully exploit both commercial and custom electronic devices. This includes reverse engineering and characterizing both the electrical function and communication characteristics of electronic circuits, while using complex instrumentation to test circuit function and extract relevant electronic data.
That's why we need you, an Electronics Engineer, who can capture critical information regarding the device's functionality to provide detailed analysis reports to law enforcement organizations, the military services, and international partners. You Have:
- 4+ years of experience in testing electronic or electrical devices with standard lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, RF signal generators, waveform generators, audio analyzers, DSP analyzers, and multimeters
- 4+ years of experience performing analysis, generating schematics, and troubleshooting of electronic or electrical devices to the component level in various conditions
- Knowledge of electronic circuit design and PCB layout
- Knowledge of physical interfaces used for inter-IC communication, including I2C, SPI, LPC, or PCIE
- Ability to prepare written documents, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials
- Ability to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and respond to technical questions and requests from customers
- Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Chain of Custody and evidence handling procedures in a forensic laboratory
- Experience with imaging, extracting, and parsing data from electronic devices
- Experience with reverse engineering tools, including IDA Pro, OllyDbg, or Ghidra
- Knowledge of microcontroller architecture, including ARM or RISCV, and assembly language programming
- Ability to program with Python, C, and C++ programming languages

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
