REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- Must possess a Bachelor's in Engineering in designated area of specialization (electrical or mechanical desired) or related discipline from an ABET accredited* college/university.
- Experience in specialized airborne or laboratory instrumentation desired. Basic/Intermediate competency with MS Office, programming, and technical drawings desired.
- Basic competency with MS Office.
- Basic competency with creating and interpreting electrical drawings.
- Basic competency with creating and interpreting electrical analysis.
- Knowledge of electronics and electrical engineering as they apply to aviation test and evaluation (0 - 3 years of experience desired).
- Configuration management practices.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Class III medical certificate. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening. Must have a valid driver's license.
- 0-3 years of experience with aircraft/aircraft systems testing or design. Demonstrated understanding of electrical design and electrical engineering principles.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide Electronics Engineering support for testing and evaluation of projects.
- Specify instrumentation needed to support flight testing areas such as avionics, communications, radar, infrared equipment, lasers, navigation equipment, and computer circuitry to obtain and record specified data.
- Provide electrical drawing, operational analyses, material and manpower requirements, and cost estimates.
- Advise project personnel on limitation and capabilities of state-of-the-art equipment, proven and theoretical concepts, advantages, disadvantages, risks, compromises, and expectations.
