Job Summary
The Electro-Mechanical Technician maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs CNC machines in a timely manner to limit machine downtown. This job demands a broad technical knowledge of electromechanical principles and good working knowledge of manufacturing machines and processes.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnosis, and repair AC circuits, DC circuits, electrical sensors, electrical switches, servo drives, safety circuits, mechanical components, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Diagnoses machine problems through sound, vibration, and use of appropriate test equipment including multimeter, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Works closely with engineers and mechanics on the installation of new equipment and modifications of equipment to suit needs of application.
- Works from drawings, diagrams, and specifications involving electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
- Observes machine operations to determine the nature of the operating problems.
- Repairs, replaces, adjusts, and calibrates machine components to keep machine within OEM accuracy specifications.
- Creates electrical circuits for special needs or purposes.
- Designs, installs, and programs PLC devices.
- Guides and trains department members in area of expertise.
- Participates in maintenance scheduling, may manage preventive maintenance system.
- Manages Projects in the plant engineering department.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five years’ experience in a similar role.
- Trade school background in an electronic and mechanical related field preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work alone or on projects with others
- Reading proficiency, some writing and verbal communication skills.
- Arithmetically proficient. Algebra and trigonometry are highly preferred.
- Mechanical, and deductive reasoning skills are needed.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- The job will consist of getting into various parts of the machinery.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- The work environment is a typical industrial manufacturing environment with varying noise levels from moderate to loud depending on the area where work is being performed.
- The employee is required to stand/walk for long periods of time while performing physical labor.
Work Hours:
Monday-Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Pay & Benefits:
