The successful candidate for the Electrical Revit Technician/Designer position will work under the supervision of a lead Electrical Engineer and will perform electrical Revit design for a variety of projects. The successful candidate will also be able to efficiently schedule and manage time, display strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member, and have excellent technical writing and communication skills; 

Your Role: 

         Partner with Project Managers and Engineers to set up and manage electrical construction drawings 

         Incorporate design changes using Revit 

         Prepare dimensional drawings and create or modify base drawings in bid and submittal phase. 

         Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes 

         Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company standards 

         Work a typical set of project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output 

         Coordinate work on multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion 

         Follow appropriate CAD standards 

         Prepare, review, or modify one-line diagrams, elevation diagrams, electrical floor plans, schedules, and detail sheets 

         Meet project schedules within budgetary constraints 

Qualifications: 

         Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in CAD drafting or a related field, required 

         2+ years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training  

         Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record 

         Experience using Autodesk Revit with knowledge of linking files, setting up plan views, using view templates, and work sets is preferred 

         Ability to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications of several types of facilities (e.g., offices, laboratories, facilities, pump stations, and wastewater treatment plants) 

         Experience with design of lighting and lighting control systems, fire alarms, security, and other low-voltage systems is a plus 

         Familiarity with design parameters related to electrical work for buildings at a minimum, water and wastewater treatment plants is a plus. 

         A solid understanding of NEC and other regulations associated with electrical safety and construction is a plus; 

         Position requires periodic travel, approximately 10-15%
