HDR's Building Engineering Services Group is hiring an Electronic Security Designer 1 to join our team in Orlando, FL.
Primary Responsibilities

• Primary duties will include the development of design specifications and drawings for integrated low voltage systems
• Evaluate and apply state-of-the-art security systems, techniques, procedures, designs and modifications
• Design security systems involving PLC's, CCTV's and card access equipment
• Assist in preparation of construction documents
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of education and relevant experience
• Must be self-starting, self-directing, and task oriented
• Demonstrated ability to manage a number of concurrent projects and meet deadlines
• Must possess strong written, verbal and communications skills
• Strong computer skills required, such as MS Office Suite, working across multiple office networks and automated business systems
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

• PSP certification is preferred
• Industry knowledge and experience with Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, Systems, UFC Standards,
• CEPTED is preferred
• AutoCAD, Microstation, VISIO, Bluebeam experience is a plus
• Military design experience is a plus
• Local candidates are preferred
