Scope of the Position

The Marketing Coordinator/Graphic Designer is primarily responsible for developing, designing, coordinating and execute resort projects related to marketing communications. In addition, will support the online and social presences for the resort including brand and ancillary websites maintenance, digital and social media platforms. The qualified candidate will be involved in traditional marketing campaigns and the creation of marketing and electronic literature in accordance with corporate branding procedures and guidelines.


Position Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in marketing, hospitality, or related industry preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in graphic design including copywriting and concept development. Portfolio review will be required.
  • Knowledge of Adobe platform including In-design, Photoshop, and Illustrator, preferred.
  • Understanding of cross platform marketing channels (web, mobile, social).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based software (Google Docs, Microsoft Teams).
  • Detail-oriented and the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Quality focused and resourceful with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing and Public Relations Department in the day-to-day administrative duties.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to develop and execute creative concepts with focus on hotel's restaurants and bars including copywriting and graphic design for digital and print.
  • Ensure all print and digital communications are consistent with brand guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain website content for all 8 food and beverage outlets.
  • Work with social media manager as needed to support content development.
  • Assist with photo/video shoots.
  • Develop internal communications as needed (both guest-facing and associate related)
  • Traffic all projects as needed.
  • Ensure all project deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
  • Maintain all project activity within the project management system.
  • Stay up to date with trends and industry best practices in graphic design.
  • Regular monitoring of comp set.

Education

  • 2-year college degree from accredited university preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to collect, evaluate and interpret varied data, graphics, spreadsheets, and database programs to develop reports.
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent group presentation, writing, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to communicate in the English language. Second language is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.
  • Experience using computers and software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills including proven ability to write creative copy for marketing communications.
  • Proven experience in graphic design including print and digital.
  • Proficiency with creative/publishing tools including the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) and Canva
  • Hands-on experience in Website editing (WordPress or other)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • Prior experience with email marketing systems a plus
  • Ability to be creative while maintaining brand graphics standards.
  • Experience with shooting and editing photos and videos.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to be a team player.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen on a continuous basis.
  • Intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk.
  • Perform simple grasping and fine manipulation, use telephone and computer keyboard daily.
  • Must be physically fit to lift, pull, and push items up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
